Canton Fair 140 Takeaway: Buyers No Longer Ask “How Much Per Kg” — They Ask 8.8 / 10.9 / 12.9

Phase 1 of the 140th Canton Fair (Oct 15–19, 2026, Pazhou, Guangzhou) closed with strong buyer traffic. Fasteners were not in a standalone hall, but bolts, nuts, thread rods, anchors and non-standard parts remained core sourcing items for global buyers.

What we saw from Yongnian, Jiashan, Chongqing Standard Parts, Ningbo WF Fastener, Goshen, Huagai and Dongguan Xinmeng:

• Yongnian cluster showed DIN975 thread rods, 3–72mm sizes, Grade 4.8 / 8.8 / 10.9 / 12.9, B7 / L7 series, photovoltaic and power fittings.
• Chongqing Standard Parts × Shanghai Sanjin showed automotive, wind-power, nuclear and construction machinery fasteners; 28 overseas buyer groups, 8 preliminary cooperations in 5 days.
• WF Fastener (9.1I27-28) pushed high-tensile structural bolts 8.8 / 10.9 / 12.9, A2-70 / A4-80 stainless, solar clamps, concrete anchors, OEM drawings, with EN 10204 3.1 and salt-spray logs on the table.
• Xinmeng promoted 2500+ hours salt spray, 50-year indoor anti-rust, ~1000 tons/month capacity.
• Buyers no longer start with price. They start with:
• Grade: 8.8 / 10.9 / 12.9?
• Standard: DIN / ISO / ASTM / ANSI / GB / JIS?
• Material & finish: plain, black oxide, zinc plated, dacromet, hot-dip galvanized?
• Documents: hardness, tensile, salt spray, MTR 3.1?
• Custom: non-standard head, double-end stud, long thread rod, drawing-based cold heading?
• Delivery: stock level, container lead time, peak-season capacity?
• For a bolt & nut supplier covering common fasteners and Grade 8.8–12.9 full range, the message is clear:

Low-end screws compete on price.Mid/high-end fasteners compete on grade, standard, finish, documents and delivery reliability.

Next move: upgrade export catalog with grade table, test reports, finish options, non-standard capability and engineered kits (bolt + nut + washer + label + carton + pallet).
